SOS - desperate
SOS - need help. I gave someone a website to develop for me, he did a shoddy job, and i need to change hosting companies and i have noticed that he has restricted status to prohibited because i told him i want someone else to do the hosting for me.
Can someone help, my job is on the line? NEED info on how to change teh hosting company, and if i can still retain the same name as all the emails are addressed that way. va |

I gave him all the details ie the name and that should be my part. the website is not dynamic the way we anticipated and nothing is there for updation.
Need to transfer all the website to another hosting or that means i get stuck, and i do have most of the files he used in developing the website. respond to varigi@cbs.go.ke thanks Val Quote:

Help with Move
Hi Varigi
I have copied this thread to the Web Hosting Quote Forum, there should be no problem transferring your web site to another hosting company as you have most of the files, but transfer of the domain name may be a problem. Perhaps a web hosting company forum member can help you with your problem. Gipsy ![]() |

hmm..
Hello Varigi,
the main thing here is there anyway you can gain access to your domain name management? If you can then I'd change its password immediately. If you can't I'd try being really nice to this guy and/or finding out who is the registrar and see if you can contact the registrars support staff - if they have any. Often cheaper domain registrars don't give the best support, but if you can get onto someone you'd need to prove you are the owner before they'd give you passwords to the domain. I think that's your best shot, or even consider a new domain name - if that's feasible. Our Hosting Plans start from 500 MB (US$2.85/m) http://illuminon.com |
